Thematic Audits

Learning from Audit

As part of the Learning and Improvement Framework the Suffolk Safeguarding Partnership undertake a series of thematic audits each year. Most of these audits are multi-agency and are a critical element in learning and improvement to safeguard children. They provide an opportunity to look at the quality of work that is undertaken with children and families and to reflect on and discuss the child’s journey through the safeguarding system. They are a way of identifying good practice as well as where lessons need to be learnt. Audit themes are informed by a range of sources including scrutiny of performance data, emerging concerns from one or more partner agencies and Partnership priorities.
