The Herbert Protocol - Refreshed
The Herbert Protocol for Missing Adults has now been refreshed. This has never been a more timely piece of work to support carers, family, friends and providers who care for vulnerable people that they are concerned may go missing.
The refreshed form and leaflet are available on the Suffolk Constabulary website and Suffolk Police are fully supportive of this protocol https://www.suffolk.police.uk/advice/personal-safety/missing-people
It is also available on the SCC website here: https://www.suffolk.gov.uk/care-and-support-for-adults/keep-well-and-active/dementia/ under the “advice for carers, family and friends” tab.
In due course it will be added to other pages of the website for other customer groups and this will be circulated when completed. Additionally we will have an easy read version to circulate in due course, thank you to ACE for doing this.
If you plan to add this information to your website please use the links rather than the forms themselves as we want to keep this a live document that can be amended and updated as required.
